It was a 2018 regular SRT Grand Cherokee. I’ve always had a soft spot for these sporty SUVs but never had the chance to get behind the wheel.
I enjoyed the drive and the noise was glorious, but I wasn’t blow away with the performance. Don’t get me wrong, it has plenty of power, way more than most people need, but it didn’t give me that “I need this now” feeling. It felt special but not sports car special, I’m sure the Trackhawk is better in that regard.
Although I was thinking how that’s kind of the appeal of it. This would be a great, comfortable daily if you could fit the gas bill. I do miss the exhaust note already.

I think I’d react to that like I react to a 7,000 sf house. “Wow this is neat” but I don’t really actually want to live with it.

Great way to put it. I get the appeal but can’t say I’d spend my own money on one.

I’d image, The closest experience ive had was just a regular 5.7 Hemi Durango R/T with the ZF8 and paddle shifter. And even that was a woot.

Yeah even those sound good. I drove the SRT Durango briefly last year and it was hilarious. I might actually prefer it to the Jeep but they’re both great.
